15-1 Assistant Coach
Marie Stucker grew up in Avenal, California, and played volleyball at Avenal High School for 4 years as an outside hitter and middle blocker. Marie’s junior year, they won section championships, and she was chosen 2nd team All-League. Her senior year, she was voted team MVP and was chosen 1st team All-League. After high school, Marie attended CSU Stanislaus, where she played volleyball for the Warriors an additional two years. Marie completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training.
After college, Marie started her coaching career at Turlock Christian, where she was head coach of the JV volleyball team and assistant coach for the varsity team for 4 years. Her 5th year, she took over the head coach position for the varsity girls volleyball team at Turlock Christian and won a section championship. She was also named Coach of the Year in 2006.
Marie stepped away for a while to have a family and raise her kids. During that time, she started CrossFit. She became an L-1 certified CrossFit Trainer in 2012 and has been coaching CrossFit ever since. Marie came back to Volleyball in 2022 as the head coach for the varsity girls volleyball team at Denair High School. She has continued to build the program at Denair High School and helped them make it to the 2nd round of playoffs in 2024. This will be Marie’s 4th year as Head Coach at Denair High School. Marie is excited to be a part of the Coaching staff for Crush this year and is eager to bring her love of Volleyball to the young athletes.
Marie currently lives in Turlock with her husband and 3 daughters. She enjoys taking family vacations and keeping up with her daughter’s active schedules. Marie also enjoys going to CrossFit and her second coaching job as an L-1 certified CrossFit coach.
