Maria Briones Aguilar

12 - 1 Assistant Coach

Maria Briones Aguilar grew up in Livingston and played volleyball at Livingston High School for 4 years as a setter and outside/right side hitter. Maria received MVP her sophomore and junior year and was chosen 2nd team All-League her senior year. After high school, Maria began her coaching career during her second year in college at LHS. She then completed her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and began her teaching experience at Central Valley High School in Ceres where she coached the JV girls volleyball team. She also coached the girls varsity soccer and was named coach of the year in 2017. 


After completing her Master’s degree in Education and Administrative credential, Maria moved back to Livingston High School where she coached the very first boys volleyball jv team in 2018. Continuing at LHS, she Head coached the varsity boys team in 2022, leading them to their 2nd TVL league title. Maria was also named the 2022 boys TVL coach of the year. Starting her 11th year in education as a high school Spanish, AVID and Athletics teacher, Maria will also begin her 2nd year as the girls volleyball varsity head coach. She is very excited to begin her coaching experience with Turlock Crush.


Maria currently lives in Delhi with her husband, 2 daughters and son. She enjoys watching her oldest play volleyball (for Crush) and soccer. Her two toddlers are in the early stages of playing sports and they enjoy staying active!
