KayLa battles

12-1 Head Coach

Kayla was raised in Turlock, CA where she attended Pitman High School and played volleyball all four years as a libero/defensive specialist. She also played as a setter for her Stanislaus District Volleyball All-Star Game earning a team captain spot and scholarship. During her high school career, she contributed to two league titles and was named Best Defensive her freshman year and Most Inspirational her senior year. She went on and played for Turlock Crush for two years coached under Dave Pontes. Kayla then played for Merced College for two years being named a captain as well as their libero earning 2nd Team All-Conference both years.


Kayla has coached for Pitman High Schools JV Team during their COVID season going undefeated her first season coaching. She then assistant coached for the 14-2’s team the ‘21-22 season and just recently assistant coached the ‘22-23 season 17-1 team making it all the way to Nationals.


This will be Kayla’s fourth season coaching and is excited for the upcoming season. Kayla’s goal is to develop great techniques for her girls and help them develop a love for the sport. She hopes to have a great impact on these girls and help them grow into amazing young ladies!
